After a sell out Main Event and bumper prize pool in Nottingham, the next stop on the GCBPT will be in Bristol from 18th to the 22nd June, for the first of two festivals to be held this year at the impressive Gala Harbourside Casino.
After a successful start to the Tour in Edinburgh, Nottingham was an even greater success with the highest number of runners to date and a huge prize fund of £161,000. Bristol promises to be an even more exciting prospect and a foretaste of what the Grand Final in December has in store.
As in previous events, the Main Event will be a £500+£50 NLHE freeze-out, with two starting days to allow for the maximum number of entrants. Day 1a will take place on Friday 20th June and Day 1b Saturday 21st June, with the remaining players returning for the final day on Sunday 22nd June. With a capacity of 220 runners, the estimated £110,000 prize pool will be swelled further with an additional £5,000 to be added by Gala Poker.
Gala Casinos Tournament Director, Robin Blair, said: 'Throughout the tour so far we've managed to maintain a really good balance between the amateur and the professional, making it accessible yet credible. The high turnout at Nottingham is a testament to how successful this approach has been.'
